This two-day training course is designed to provide valuable insights into the complexity of injecting “water” into the subsurface.
This course is designed for those who are undertaking any of the following applications:
1. CCS (Carbon Capture and Storage): The focus will be on water reinjection to enable “aquifer voiding” for Carbon storage (a key component of CCS);
2. Geothermal heating projects: Where water is circulated through the subsurface to absorb heat for agricultural or other purposes
3. Disposal of produced water as a result of oil recovery methods.
Many of the topics covered will also be of benefit for those seeking to focus on the “injection side” of waterflooding.
The course delves into the physics, chemistry, technologies and processes involved, as well as explaining what can go wrong and why.
