Lisa Thieme has spent 28 years in the Energy and Mining industries, including 20 years with Shell in Exploration and Development in the US, South America, Europe, Asia, and Australia. Her experience ranges from technical to management roles in regional and prospect exploration, new ventures, brownfield development, and operations. Within Shell, she was an Operations Geology Subject Matter Expert and the Global Learning Development Leader for Exploration. The first seven years of her career were in the mining industry with Phelps Dodge Corporation and Placer Dome, primarily exploring for gold, copper and zinc. Her M.S. is from Colorado School of Mines with a B.A. in both economics and geology from Lawrence University.
Currently, Lisa is a Senior Energy Advisor for Crescat Capital, Oil & Gas consultant, EPTS Trainer and Project Manager for a WWF Reforestation Grant in Sabah, Borneo.
